**Janakpur, Nepal & Ayodhya, India (January 11, 2025)** – The first anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, marking the installation of Lord Ram Lalla’s idol in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, was celebrated with grand festivities across Nepal and India.

In Janakpur, Nepal, the historic city renowned for its connection to Sita, the consort of Lord Ram, 125,000 lamps were lit at the Janaki Temple. Organized by the Dhanusha chapter of Bishwo Hindu Parisad Nepal, the celebrations included traditional Jhaki processions, Hawan fire ceremonies, Ganga Aarti, and elaborate rangoli designs. The Janaki Sena, the youth wing of Bishwo Hindu Parisad Nepal, managed the event’s logistics. Chief Mahant of Janaki Temple, Ram Tapeshwor Das, expressed immense joy and celebration, stating that the entire city and Nepal were filled with excitement.

Simultaneously, Ayodhya witnessed a massive influx of devotees for the anniversary celebrations. The day began with Agnihotra rituals and continued with the chanting of 600,000 “Shri Ram Mantra,” along with the recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa. Musical performances and special prayers were held throughout the day at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, where a Mahabhishek ceremony (sacred bath) was performed for Lord Ram Lalla.

The celebrations in both cities marked a significant religious occasion, highlighting the deep cultural and spiritual connection between Nepal and India, particularly concerning the epic Ramayana. The scale of the events underscores the immense devotion and reverence for Lord Ram and the importance of the Ram Mandir to millions of Hindus worldwide.
