Sun Jan 12 06:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Jemimah Rodrigues’ Century Powers India to Record-Breaking Win Against Ireland

**Rajkot, India:** Jemimah Rodrigues smashed her maiden ODI century, a breathtaking 102 off 91 balls, to power India to a record-breaking 370/5 against Ireland in the second ODI on Sunday. This score is the highest ever achieved by India in women’s ODI cricket, surpassing their previous best of 358/2, also against Ireland in 2017.

Rodrigues’ innings, studded with 12 fours, formed the backbone of India’s dominant performance. Her century partnership with Harmanpreet Kaur (89 runs off 84 balls, including 12 fours) was crucial in propelling India to their monumental total. The pair added 183 runs for the third wicket after an impressive opening stand of 156 runs between captain Smriti Mandhana (73 runs off 54 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes) and Pratika Rawal (67 runs off 60 balls, including 8 fours and a six).

Rodrigues, who celebrated her century with a guitar-playing gesture, was eventually dismissed for 102 after reaching the milestone with a boundary off Arlene Kelly. She expressed her delight at finally achieving her first ODI century after 41 matches, highlighting the importance of staying at the crease until the 50th over.

For Ireland, Kelly and Orla Prendergast took two wickets each, while Georgina Dempsey claimed one. India’s victory sets up a thrilling decider in the three-match series.
