**Hyderabad, January 12, 2025** – Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest action thriller, “Daku Maharaj,” directed by Bobby Kolli, hit theaters today for Sankranti, delivering a stylish and engaging cinematic experience. The film, produced by Suryadevara Nagavamsi and Sai Soujanya, boasts a strong supporting cast including Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela.

The movie unfolds in Chittoor district, focusing on Krishna Murthy (Sachin Khedekar), a coffee estate owner and educational institution head, whose granddaughter Vaishnavi is threatened by a local MLA, Trimurtulu (Ravikishan). This prompts the intervention of Maharaj (Balakrishna), a powerful figure residing in Bhopal, who vows to protect Vaishnavi.

Director Kolli cleverly weaves a familiar storyline with a fresh presentation. While the plot may seem predictable, the stylish visuals, reminiscent of Hollywood action films, coupled with Balakrishna’s signature mass appeal, keep audiences engaged throughout. The film’s strengths lie in its strong screenplay, impactful dialogues penned by Bhanu Bogavarapu and Nandu, and the stunning visuals captured by Vijay K Kartik. The background score by Thaman adds another layer of intensity to the action sequences.

Balakrishna shines in multiple roles – as the engineer Sitaram, the driver Nanaaji, and finally, the Daku Maharaj – showcasing his versatility and delivering impactful action scenes. Pragya Jaiswal has a significant screen presence, while Shraddha Srinath plays a pivotal role in shaping the narrative. Urvashi Rautela’s glamorous presence adds another dimension to the film, particularly in the energetic song “Dabidi Dibi Di.” Bobby Deol’s role, while limited, is effective. Ravikishan and director Sandeep Raj impress with their villainous performances.

“Daku Maharaj” offers a thrilling ride from start to finish, particularly impressive in its action sequences and second half. While it utilizes a familiar narrative structure, the film’s technical prowess, impactful dialogues, and Balakrishna’s performance elevate it to a compelling cinematic experience, making it a worthwhile watch for both Balakrishna’s fans and general audiences seeking mass action entertainment.
