**Rajkot, India:** The Indian women’s cricket team thrashed Ireland in the second ODI of their three-match series on Sunday, setting a new national record score in the process. India piled on a mammoth 370/5 in their 50 overs, surpassing their previous highest ODI total of 358/2, also achieved against Ireland in 2017.

The innings was fueled by several impressive performances. Smriti Mandhana, leading the team in the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur, scored a quick-fire 73 off 54 balls, featuring 10 fours and 2 sixes. She shared a 156-run opening partnership with Pratima Rawal (67 off 61 balls).

Following the early dismissal of Mandhana and Rawal, Jemimah Rodrigues anchored the innings, smashing her maiden ODI century – a 102-run knock off 91 balls, including 12 fours – and celebrating with a memorable guitar-shaped bat pose that quickly went viral on social media. She and Harleen Deol (89 off 84 balls, 12 fours) added a crucial 183-run partnership for the third wicket.
