**Auckland, New Zealand –** Sri Lanka secured a resounding 140-run victory over New Zealand in the third and final One Day International (ODI) at Eden Park on Saturday, ending the series on a high note despite losing the first two matches.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers dominated the match, dismantling New Zealand’s top order with devastating accuracy. Earlier, Sri Lanka had posted a challenging 290 for 8, thanks to a superb innings from Pathum Nissanka (66), who, despite retiring hurt with a suspected hip injury, returned to contribute significantly. Kusal Mendis (54) and Janith Liyanage (53) also added half-centuries to the Sri Lankan total. New Zealand’s Matt Henry (4-55) and Mitchell Santner (2-55) were the pick of the bowlers for the home side. Henry’s performance brought his ODI wicket tally to 150.
