**Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, January 11, 2025** – A family of five was found dead in their rented home in Meerut’s Lisari Gate area on Friday, sparking a murder investigation. Police identified the victims as Mohammad Moin (38), his wife Asma (35), and their three daughters, all under the age of 10. The parents were found on the floor, while the children were discovered in a storage compartment under the bed.
All victims sustained head injuries consistent with being bludgeoned with a heavy object. Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada stated that while the exact cause of death awaits post-mortem results, initial investigations suggest murder stemming from personal enmity. Two individuals have been detained, and special police teams are actively pursuing other suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
