**Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh –** A shocking video showing a passenger being violently assaulted by a Ticket Examiner (TTE) and a coach attendant on the Amritsar-Katihar Express has gone viral, sparking outrage and a swift railway investigation. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, involved Sheikh Tazuddin, a truck driver travelling from Siwan, Bihar to New Delhi.
According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, Tazuddin, while intoxicated, allegedly misbehaved with female passengers after sharing alcohol with two coach attendants, Vikram Chauhan and Sonu Mahato. When the TTE, Rajesh Kumar, intervened, Tazuddin allegedly attacked him, escalating the situation.
Multiple videos circulating online show the TTE and Chauhan repeatedly kicking and stomping Tazuddin, while hurling verbal abuse. One video depicts the TTE holding Tazuddin to the ground while Chauhan whips him with a belt.
A fellow passenger, Dheeraj Yadav, stated that one of the attendants had accepted money from Tazuddin to participate in a drinking session. After consuming alcohol, Tazuddin became unruly, leading to the altercation with the TTE.
Railway police intervened, deboarding the intoxicated Tazuddin in Firozabad. The TTE, Rajesh Kumar, was taken into custody, while Chauhan escaped. A case has been registered against all three individuals based on a complaint filed by Tazuddin.
The Railways have responded swiftly, suspending both the TTE and the two attendants. Kumar has been ordered to report to divisional headquarters in Lucknow. While Tazuddin has filed a complaint, railway officials also report receiving complaints against him from other passengers. The Railways have pledged a thorough investigation and assured strict action against those responsible. Authorities are currently collecting information from other passengers who witnessed the incident.
