Fri Jan 10 08:14:53 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Temples Overflow with Devotees on Vaikuntha Ekadasi
**Hyderabad, Telangana:** Telangana witnessed a massive surge in devotees at numerous temples across the state on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadasi. Thousands flocked to temples since early Friday morning to witness the special “Uttara Dwara Darshan,” a ceremonial opening of the north gate allowing devotees to view the presiding deity, believed to grant salvation (Vaikuntha prapti).
At Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, devotees were granted darshan from early morning. The deity was presented in the form of Vasudeva on Garuda Vahana (vehicle). A Garuda Sevottsavam and Tiruveedi Seva procession is also scheduled for the day. Authorities plan to facilitate darshan for all devotees from 8 AM to 12 PM. Further, a six-day Adhyayana Utsavams (study festival) and special alankara seva of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy will continue until the 15th of this month.
In Bhadrachalam, the Vaikuntha Ekadasi celebrations began grandly, with devotees viewing Lord Rama and Sita on Garuda and Gaja Vahana, respectively. Similar scenes unfolded at other prominent temples, including Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple, Dharmapuri, and Bhadrakali temples, as devotees thronged to witness the special darshan through the Vaikuntha Dwaram. Temple authorities have deployed heavy security arrangements to manage the large crowds.
