**Hyderabad, January 10:** Global star Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Game Changer,” premiered today worldwide, marking his solo hero return after a six-year gap. The film, a political action drama directed by Shankar, is the director’s first straight Telugu film. Following his Oscar-winning performance in “RRR,” Charan’s appearance in “Game Changer” is being celebrated as a major cinematic event by his fans.
The film, produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations (their 50th venture), boasts a reported budget of ₹500 crore, with ₹75 crore reportedly spent on just five songs. Zee Studios also participated in the film’s production.
“Game Changer” features Charan in a dual role, alongside Kiara Advani and Anjali. The supporting cast includes S.J. Suryah, Srikanth, Jayaram, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra. The storyline centers on a conflict between a collector (Charan) and a minister (S.J. Suryah).
The pre-release event in America saw director Sukumar and Shankar predicting a National Award for Charan’s performance, a sentiment echoed by music director Thaman regarding Anjali’s acting as well.
Early reports suggest the film incorporates multiple twists and turns, including a love scene between Charan and Advani, and a compelling climax with a significant shift in Charan’s character. The film’s release is expected to break box office records.
