**Barcelona, Spain** – FC Barcelona Women’s team spread holiday cheer throughout Barcelona today, visiting several children’s hospitals and care homes as part of the FC Barcelona Foundation’s annual social initiative. The players brought smiles and festive cheer to young patients facing serious illnesses and children living in government-run facilities.
Ballon d’Or winners Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí were among the players who visited various locations, including Hospital de Sant Pau, Hospital del Vall d’Hebron, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, and Hospital Parc Taulí de Sabadell. Other players visited Casa dels Xuklis, a home for ill young people, and Hogar Les Vinyes de Cerdanyola del Vallès, a children’s home.
The initiative, dubbed “Christmas all year round,” aims to leverage the positive influence of FC Barcelona players to uplift children in vulnerable situations. The players signed autographs, took selfies, and distributed gifts, creating unforgettable moments for the children. The visit was led by Foundation patrons and club officials, with coaches accompanying the players to the different locations.
This annual event is part of the FC Barcelona Foundation’s Health and Emotional Wellbeing program, which includes year-round visits to hospitals by different professional sports teams from the club.
