**Mumbai, India (January 9, 2025)** — Renowned Indian journalist, poet, filmmaker, and Padma Shri awardee Pritish Nandy passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai following a cardiac arrest at his home. He was 73.
Nandy’s death was confirmed by sources close to him. His last rites were held Wednesday evening. Tributes poured in from across the Indian entertainment and media industry, with many remembering his significant contributions and larger-than-life personality.
