SWR to run Sankranti special train from Bengaluru to Karwar

**Mangalore, Karnataka, January 9, 2025** – The South Western Railway (SWR) will operate special trains between SMVT Bengaluru and Karwar to manage increased passenger traffic during the Sankranti festival. One round trip will be offered.

The Bengaluru to Karwar special (Train No. 06597) departs Bengaluru on January 10th at 1 PM, arriving in Karwar at 6:10 AM the following day. The return journey (Train No. 06598) leaves Karwar on January 11th at 12 PM, reaching Bengaluru at 4 AM on January 12th.

Each train will consist of 7 sleeper coaches, 13 three-tier AC coaches, and 2 luggage-cum-brake vans. Specific station stops for both trains will be announced separately.
