Kochi, Kerala – Businessman Bobby Chemmannur was arrested yesterday by Kochi police on charges of sexual assault following a complaint filed by actress Honey Rose. Chemmannur, while being transported to the Ernakulam CJM court, maintained his innocence, stating he had done nothing wrong. His bail application will be considered by the court.

Kochi DCP Gigi Ashwati confirmed that a statement under Section 164 was received yesterday and will be examined to determine if further charges are warranted. The investigation will also look into similar past allegations against Chemmannur. The case currently centers on Honey Rose’s complaint and her confidential statement will play a key role in further proceedings. The remand report has been submitted to the court, the DCP added.
