Thu Jan 09 02:40:00 UTC 2025: **Kochi Businessman Bobby Chemmannur Remanded in Honey Rose Harassment Case**

KOCHI, January 9, 2025 – Prominent businessman Bobby Chemmannur has been remanded in custody for 14 days by the Ernakulam First Class Judicial Magistrate Judge A. Abhirami, following a sexual harassment complaint filed by actress Honey Rose.

Chemmannur pleaded not guilty, claiming the allegations against him were false. However, the court rejected his arguments. Following the verdict, Chemmannur suffered a bout of high blood pressure and was allowed to rest in the courtroom. He will be transferred to Ernakulam General Hospital if necessary before being taken to jail.

The prosecution, led by Public Prosecutor Adv. Honey, successfully countered the arguments presented by Chemmannur’s high-profile legal team. The prosecution argued that Honey Rose’s statement detailed persistent harassment and stalking, highlighting the possibility of influencing witnesses and threats. They also pointed to Chemmannur’s wealth and international business connections, raising concerns about potential flight risk and the possibility of harming the complainant. The prosecution further contended that Chemmannur not only committed the sexual harassment but also ensured its publicity, indicating a pattern of repeated offenses. The court is also considering adding further charges after reviewing a copy of Honey Rose’s confidential statement.
