**New Delhi, India –** Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to expand its premium motorcycle segment in the Indian market with the launch of its new Xtreme 250R in 2025. First showcased at EICMA, the bike is expected to directly compete with models like the KTM 250 Duke.
Recent spy shots taken during a TVC shoot in Delhi-NCR reveal design details of the upcoming machine. The Xtreme 250R boasts an aggressive street-fighter aesthetic, featuring LED headlights and a uniquely designed fuel tank with sharp character lines and tank extensions. The side panel and tail section appear integrated, complemented by striking graphics and a three-color scheme.
The bike will be supported by a steel trellis frame, a 43 mm USD fork, and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking duties are handled by single disc brakes at both ends, aided by switchable ABS. It rides on 17-inch wheels and includes a digital instrument cluster.
Powering the Xtreme 250R is a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 30 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike will be a fully faired model, a rare offering in Hero’s lineup. The platform used for the Xtreme 250R will also be utilized for the upcoming XMR 250.
