Wed Jan 08 04:24:53 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka PWD Minister Suggests Retendering for Yadgir Bypass Road

**Yadgir, Karnataka, January 8, 2025** – Karnataka Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi has proposed recalling the tender for the construction of the Yadgir bypass road due to technical issues arising from project delays. The ₹136.29 crore project, initially tendered for ₹104.04 crore, has encountered unforeseen technical problems, prompting the Minister to recommend a retendering process.

During a meeting in Yadgir on January 6, Jarkiholi also directed officials to prepare a proposal for a separate slope road near Ramsamudra village, connecting to the Gulbarga-Gooty national highway, to address deteriorated road conditions towards Telangana. Further infrastructure development plans include the construction of helipads in Yadgir, Hunsagi, and Shorapur, along with the repair of existing departmental roads.

The Minister inspected National Highway 150 and 150A, assessing their condition, and subsequently announced ₹40 crore in road development funding for each of the three assembly constituencies in the Yadgir district.

Addressing recent calls for the resignation of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge following a contractor’s suicide, Jarkiholi differentiated the case from a previous incident involving former BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa, stating that Priyank Kharge should not resign. The meeting was attended by several officials including Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur and local MLAs.
