Wed Jan 08 15:39:55 UTC 2025: ## Lone Karnataka Maoist Remains at Large After Surrender of Six
**Bengaluru, January 8, 2025** – Despite the surrender of six Maoists on Wednesday, one member of the group, Kotehonda Ravi, remains at large. Ravi, from Kigga near Sringeri, Karnataka, separated from his group a year ago due to personal differences, long before the November 2024 encounter that killed another Maoist leader, Vikram Gowda.
Police sources report that Ravi is currently inactive and has not contacted the group that recently surrendered. Attempts by law enforcement and civil society to reach him and encourage his surrender have been unsuccessful, and his current location is unknown. A senior police official confirmed these efforts have failed, stating Ravi is “neither active nor in touch with the present group.”
