HYDERABAD, January 7, 2025 – The Telangana government has filed a caveat petition in the Supreme Court in anticipation of a possible appeal by former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) against a High Court ruling. The High Court dismissed KTR’s petition to quash an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case related to the Formula E car racing deal.
The caveat petition ensures the Telangana government is heard before the Supreme Court takes any action on a potential appeal by KTR. This strategic legal move prevents any interim orders or stays from being issued without the government’s input.
The ACB case involves allegations of irregularities in agreements and transactions related to the Formula E project, involving KTR, IAS officer Arvind Kumar, and B.L.N. Reddy.
