Tue Jan 07 03:02:44 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad’s HYDRAA Addresses 83 Public Grievances in First Forum

**Hyderabad, January 7, 2025** – The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) held its first public grievance redressal forum, receiving an overwhelming 83 complaints from citizens. Commissioner A.V. Ranganath personally addressed each grievance, issuing on-the-spot directives to local authorities for resolution within three weeks.

The majority of complaints concerned encroachments on public spaces, including parks, roads, tanks, and areas designated for public utilities. Several instances of fraudulent land transactions and the superimposition of forged layouts onto approved plans to seize open spaces were also reported.

One resident from Jawaharnagar highlighted the alarming sale of government land using notarized documents, resulting in the significant loss of acreage. Another complainant from Chilukanagar reported encroachment on government land near an irrigation canal. Civil society activists from Chandanagar raised concerns about a gated community illegally discharging sewage into the recently restored Bakshi Kunta and Regula Kunta lakes.

Commissioner Ranganath ensured that each complainant received a token, and he directed on-site inspections and reports within a week. HYDRAA aims to resolve all grievances within the next three weeks.
