**Roorkee, India –** The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the admit cards for the GATE 2025 exam today. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, using their login credentials. The release was slightly delayed from the originally scheduled date of January 2nd, 2025.
The GATE 2025 exam, a crucial test for admission to postgraduate engineering programs, will be held on February 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th, 2025, in computer-based test (CBT) mode across eight zones. Results are expected to be announced on March 19th, 2025, with scores valid for three years.
This year’s exam offers 30 papers, allowing candidates to choose one or two from permissible combinations. The three-hour exam will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, assessing Recall, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, and Synthesis skills. Negative marking will apply to MCQ answers: 1/3 mark deducted for a wrong 1-mark answer and 2/3 for a wrong 2-mark answer.
