Tue Jan 07 04:00:00 UTC 2025: ## NVIDIA Unveils DLSS 4 at CES 2025: 8X Performance Boost for RTX 50 Series

**Las Vegas, NV –** NVIDIA today announced DLSS 4, the latest iteration of its Deep Learning Super Sampling technology, at CES 2025. This major upgrade promises up to an 8X performance increase over traditional rendering for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and laptops, enabling stunning 4K 240 FPS gameplay with full ray tracing.

The key innovation in DLSS 4 is **Multi-Frame Generation**, which can generate up to three additional frames per rendered frame. This is achieved through a combination of hardware and software advancements, including a new, significantly faster AI model that’s 40% faster and uses 30% less VRAM than its predecessor. The new model also leverages Blackwell hardware innovations for improved frame pacing.

Beyond Multi-Frame Generation, DLSS 4 boasts a complete overhaul of its AI models. For the first time in the graphics industry, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA now utilize transformer networks – the same architecture powering leading AI models like ChatGPT. This results in improved image quality with enhanced temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and higher detail in motion.

At launch, 75 games and applications will support DLSS 4’s Multi-Frame Generation. Furthermore, all GeForce RTX users will benefit from the upgraded transformer-based models across existing DLSS features. NVIDIA’s new DLSS Override feature in the NVIDIA app will also extend support to many more games.

“DLSS 4 represents a massive leap forward in gaming performance and visual fidelity,” said [NVIDIA spokesperson name]. “The combination of Multi-Frame Generation and our new transformer models unlocks unprecedented levels of detail and responsiveness, making ray-traced gaming at high resolutions and refresh rates a reality for more gamers than ever before.”

The GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, featuring 5th Generation Tensor Cores with up to 2.5X more AI processing power, are essential for harnessing the full potential of DLSS 4. The new technology will be available to users upon the release of the GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and a new GeForce Game Ready Driver.
