**Chennai, January 6, 2025** – Tamil Nadu’s electoral rolls have swelled by nine lakh voters since October, reaching a total of approximately 6.36 crore, according to the final version of the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, 2025, published on Monday.
The updated rolls reveal a significant gender distribution, with 3.24 crore women, 3.11 crore men, and 9,120 individuals identifying as the third gender. Sholinganallur Assembly constituency retains its position as the largest, boasting 6.90 lakh electors, followed by Kavundampalayam with 4.91 lakh.
The rolls also include 3,740 overseas electors and 4,78,007 electors with disabilities. A noteworthy 4,10,069 young voters aged 18-19 were newly enrolled during the revision period.
