**New Delhi, January 6, 2025** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several significant railway projects on Monday, January 6th, via video conferencing. These projects include the much-anticipated Jammu railway division and a new terminal station in Telangana.

The Jammu division, a project fulfilling a long-standing local aspiration, will significantly improve connectivity to other parts of India. The division, spanning 742.1 kilometers across multiple sections, is expected to create jobs, boost infrastructure development, promote tourism, and drive overall socio-economic growth in the region. This brings the total number of Indian Railway divisions to 70, under 17 zones.

Simultaneously, PM Modi will inaugurate the Charlapalli New Terminal station in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Built at a cost of approximately ₹413 crore, this eco-friendly terminal will alleviate congestion at existing stations in Hyderabad and improve passenger amenities.
