**New Delhi, January 6, 2025** – Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Indian Navy, addressed 2,361 NCC cadets at the Republic Day NCC Camp on Monday, delivering a motivational speech centered around an “ABCD” formula for success. The address, which included quotes from Swami Vivekananda, Bollywood films, and a poem by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, emphasized the high expectations placed on India’s youth as the nation strives to become a global power.
Admiral Tripathi’s “ABCD” stands for Attitude & Aptitude, Believing in Yourself, Character & Commitment, and Discipline. He urged cadets to cultivate a positive attitude, develop self-belief regardless of background, maintain strong character and commitment even in adversity, and practice self-discipline to achieve their goals. He highlighted the importance of differentiating between urgent and important tasks and making necessary sacrifices.
The Admiral’s address was met with cultural performances by the cadets showcasing India’s diverse culture. This year’s Republic Day NCC Camp, which began on December 30th and concludes January 27th, features a record-breaking 917 girl cadets. The event culminates in the PM Rally.
