Mon Jan 06 12:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Heat Ready for Thunder Clash with Debutant and Returning Players
**Brisbane, QLD –** The Brisbane Heat have announced their 14-player squad for tomorrow night’s crucial Big Bash League (BBL) match against the Sydney Thunder at the Gabba. The only change from the squad that travelled to Coffs Harbour for the rain-affected game against the Sydney Sixers is the inclusion of all-rounder Jack Wildermuth.
The match will see the highly anticipated BBL debut of English draft pick Tom Alsop. Furthermore, all-rounder Michael Neser is poised to return to action after recovering from a hamstring tendon injury. Mitch Swepson will sport the number ‘0’ jersey in support of the Road Safety Cup.
The Heat also highlighted the significance of their indigenous artwork, collaboratively designed by WBBL player Mikayla Hinkley and artist Delores McDonald. The artwork, featuring the Gabba and local waterholes, pays tribute to the land’s First Nations people and includes 87 black strokes representing the wickets taken by Aboriginal cricketing legend Eddie Gilbert.
