VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh – Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Narendra A. Patil inaugurated a new Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (RPF dry canteen) and new vehicles for Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel in Vijayawada on Monday.
The canteen, approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, offers groceries, consumables, and other items at concessional rates to in-service and retired RPF personnel and their families.
The new fleet includes a 38-seater bus and eight bullet motorcycles, enhancing RPF mobility across various railway sections. These vehicles will improve response times to incidents and support anti-social element raids. The vehicles will be distributed to RPF posts in Rajahmundry, Chirala, Gudivada, Rayanapadu, and other key locations.
The improvements were lauded as vital for enhancing the safety and security of the Vijayawada railway division. Several railway officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
