**Bengaluru, January 5, 2025** – A 44-year-old man, Sikandar Chowdhary, was arrested in Bengaluru on Saturday for allegedly offering assistance to candidates seeking to cheat on competitive exams. Chowdhary, a resident of Indi taluk in Vijayapura district, was apprehended by Upparpet police following a tip-off. He was found operating from a lodge in Gandhi Nagar.

According to police, Chowdhary used middlemen to contact candidates, promising help in clearing exams such as the Karnataka Administrative Services, Panchayat Development Officer, and Police Sub Inspector exams for a fee. The police are currently investigating the extent of his network and further details are expected to emerge.
