**Mumbai, India** – Rumors of a divorce between Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, are swirling after the couple reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. Chahal has also deleted all photos of himself with Verma from his account, although Verma has not removed her pictures of him. The Times of India reports that a divorce is imminent, with only the formal announcement remaining. Neither Chahal nor Verma has issued a public statement.
The couple married on December 11, 2020, after Chahal contacted Verma during a lockdown to learn dance from her. Verma detailed their courtship, which blossomed into love, during an episode of the reality show *Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11*.
Speculation about their relationship intensified in 2023 when Verma dropped “Chahal” from her Instagram username and Chahal posted a story about a “new life.” At the time, Chahal dismissed the divorce rumors as speculation.
Currently sidelined from Team India, Chahal last played a One Day International in January 2023 and a T20I in August 2023. Despite this, he was recently bought by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. The reason behind the reported split remains undisclosed.
