**Kozhikode, Kerala – January 4, 2025** – A 32-year-old doctor, Alan Alex from Kannur district, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sending obscene messages to a minor girl on social media. Police apprehended Alex while he attempted to meet the girl at Kozhikode beach. Relatives of the girl reportedly handed him over to authorities. Alex’s car was also seized. He has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and remanded in judicial custody.
