**ARUPPUKKOTTAI, Tamil Nadu – January 5, 2025** – A drawing competition celebrating Tamil culture drew an unexpectedly large turnout in Aruppukottai and Sivakasi on Saturday. Organized by the Virudhunagar district administration, the event, themed “Tamil, Tamilar, Tamil Nadu — Culture and Pride,” attracted 988 participants of all ages, ranging from a UKG student to a 70-year-old. Participants included 788 school students, 110 college students, and 88 members of the general public. The enthusiastic participation highlights the strong sense of cultural pride in the region.
