**Belagavi, January 2, 2025** – A devastating tragedy struck Haranala village in Vijayapura district, Karnataka, on Wednesday, claiming the lives of a 28-year-old woman and her two young children. Geeta Srishaila Badagi and her sons, six-year-old Sharan and four-year-old Shravan, drowned in a farm pond.
Police reports indicate the family slipped and fell into the water while visiting the father’s field. Geeta, married to a farmer in Yalawar village, had returned to her hometown with her children. Local villagers assisted police in retrieving the bodies. An investigation into the incident is underway, and a case has been registered.
