**New Delhi, January 2, 2025** – A 40-year-old man, Puneet Khurana, was found dead in his Model Town home on Tuesday, with ligature marks on his neck, prompting a police investigation. While his family accuses his ex-wife of driving him to suicide, police state that no concrete evidence supporting this claim has yet been discovered.

Khurana’s family alleges that his ex-wife, her parents, and sister subjected him to intense harassment and pressure related to their ongoing property dispute following their separation two years ago. A phone call recording, which went viral on social media, allegedly captures a heated argument between Khurana and his ex-wife concerning the division of their jointly owned cafe and bakery. The couple’s divorce proceedings were initiated in September 2024, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been drawn up to divide their assets.

The police have collected Khurana’s electronic devices for forensic analysis, including videos reportedly showing the alleged harassment. A formal complaint has been filed against the ex-wife and her family. The investigation is ongoing. This case bears resemblance to a recent incident in Bengaluru involving similar accusations of spousal harassment leading to suicide.
