**HYDERABAD, January 1, 2025** – Hyderabad ushered in the New Year with a blend of vibrant celebrations and heightened security measures. The city buzzed with activity as residents celebrated with house parties, pub crawls, and midnight mass at illuminated churches. From elaborate rangoli designs adorning homes to gatherings at farmhouses and scenic viewpoints, the festive spirit was palpable. Bakeries, decked out in vibrant lights and festive music, became popular spots for families and friends enjoying sweet treats.

Over 22,000 police officers from the tri-commissionerates were deployed across the city, establishing hundreds of checkpoints to monitor drunk driving, narcotics use, noise violations, and overall crime prevention. Police reported apprehending at least four individuals for drunk driving.

While many opted for large-scale events, others preferred more intimate gatherings.
