**Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – January 1, 2025** – The Kerala State Goods and Services Tax (GST) department announced a new regulation requiring compulsory e-way bills for the transportation of gold and precious stones valued at ₹10 lakh or more within the state, effective immediately. The mandate applies to registered traders and institutions, regardless of whether the movement is for supply, exhibition, job work, hallmarking, or purchase from unregistered individuals. All consignments must have a generated Part-A e-way bill prior to transport.
