Wed Jan 01 10:39:30 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Businessman Dies by Suicide; Family Accuses Estranged Wife and In-Laws of Harassment

**New Delhi, January 1, 2025** – A 40-year-old Delhi businessman, Puneet Khurana, died by suicide yesterday at his Model Town residence, prompting allegations of mental harassment against his estranged wife, Manika Pahwa, and her family. Khurana’s family claims Pahwa, her parents, and sister subjected him to relentless torment, ultimately driving him to take his own life.

According to Khurana’s sister, the family verbally abused and threatened him, even daring him to commit suicide. She revealed the existence of a video recording made by Khurana before his death, detailing the alleged harassment and pressure exerted by his wife and in-laws. The family also alleges that Pahwa hacked Khurana’s Instagram account and used it to harass others.

The dispute reportedly stemmed from a business partnership the couple had previously shared. Although a separation agreement stipulated that Khurana would manage “For God’s bakery” and Pahwa would run “Woodbox Cafe,” Pahwa allegedly continued to demand a share of Khurana’s business despite court rulings.

Khurana’s mother corroborated the allegations, stating that despite their separation two years ago, Pahwa continued to torment her son, causing him significant emotional distress. She appealed for justice to ensure her son’s soul rests in peace.

Police confirmed that Khurana died by hanging and are investigating the matter. A recorded phone conversation between Khurana and Pahwa the night before his death reveals a heated argument over the business dispute. The family has filed a police complaint demanding action against Pahwa and her family.
