**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension to the deadline for its Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme. Both new applicants and those renewing their scholarships now have until **January 10, 2025**, to submit their online applications. Schools have until **January 17, 2025** to verify the applications.

The scholarship is available to single girl children who achieved a minimum of 60% in their Class 10 CBSE exams in 2023 (for renewals) or 2024 (for new applications). Applicants must be currently enrolled in Class 11 at a CBSE-affiliated school and be Indian nationals. The maximum permissible monthly tuition fee is capped at ₹1,500 for Class 10, with a 10% annual increase allowed for Classes 11 and 12. For NRI students studying abroad, the cap is ₹6,000 per month.

Required documents include a verified Class 11 mark sheet, Aadhaar card linked to the applicant’s bank account, and a verified copy of the bank passbook or cancelled cheque.
