**GURUGRAM, INDIA –** Simran Singh, a well-known radio jockey and Instagram influencer from Jammu and Kashmir, died by suicide on Wednesday evening in her Gurugram apartment. Singh, affectionately known as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” (Heartbeat of Jammu) by her over 600,000 Instagram followers, was found deceased in her rented accommodation in Sector 47.

Police were notified by Park Hospital at 10:30 pm. While no suicide note was discovered, and no complaints were filed against any individuals by her family, a post-mortem was conducted Thursday morning following a written complaint from the family. Gurgaon police confirmed that no case has been registered. According to family sources, Singh had been struggling with personal issues prior to her death.

Her body has since been released to her family. The news of her passing has prompted an outpouring of grief, with Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) chief Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah issuing a joint statement expressing their condolences and acknowledging Singh’s significant contribution to the region’s cultural identity. They described her as embodying the “spirit of Jammu and Kashmir” through her voice and charm. Singh’s last social media post was a reel shared on December 13th.
