**New Delhi, December 27, 2024** – The Supreme Court of India on Friday expressed serious concern over the health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike since November 26th. The court directed the Punjab government to immediately provide Dallewal with necessary medical aid and issued a notice to the state’s Chief Secretary for alleged non-compliance with a previous court order regarding his medical care.
