Thu Dec 26 19:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Telugu Film Industry and Telangana CM Collaborate to Make Hyderabad an International Film Hub

**Hyderabad, India –** Telugu film industry representatives met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to discuss the future of filmmaking in the state. The meeting, attended by prominent figures including Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, and Nagarjuna, focused primarily on establishing Hyderabad as a global film production center.

Dil Raju, newly appointed chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC), emphasized the CM’s vision for exponential growth within the industry, attracting international productions to Hyderabad. The FDC will soon submit a proposal outlining this plan to the CM. The meeting also addressed the industry’s role in promoting social awareness campaigns focusing on drug abuse, women’s safety, and other societal issues.

While reports suggest the meeting also touched upon the recent stampede incident during the premiere of *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, leading to the arrest of actor Allu Arjun, Raju downplayed its significance. He stated that the focus was on the larger goal of transforming Hyderabad into an international film hub, emphasizing the scale of the Telugu film industry and its yearly output of 200 films. He dismissed questions about the stampede and related issues such as benefit shows and ticket pricing, deeming them less important than the overarching objective.

The CM’s stance on prohibiting benefit shows and special screenings following the incident remains unchanged, according to previous reports. Despite the reported tension surrounding the *Pushpa 2* stampede, Raju insisted the meeting fostered a positive and collaborative relationship between the government and the film industry.
