**New Delhi, December 27, 2024** – Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away late Thursday evening at the age of 92. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in critical condition after suffering a sudden loss of consciousness at home. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, he was declared dead at 9:51 PM.
Dr. Singh served two terms as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, leading the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government. He is widely credited as the architect of India’s 1991 economic reforms, implemented during his tenure as Finance Minister under P.V. Narasimha Rao.
