**New Delhi, Dec 26, 2024** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress party of displaying a map of India omitting Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Aksai Chin at a welcome banner for their Working Committee meeting in Belagavi, Karnataka. The BJP alleges this constitutes a display of disrespect for India’s sovereignty and suggests a link to anti-India forces.

Images of the banner, featuring Mahatma Gandhi’s image alongside the allegedly distorted map, were circulated on X (formerly Twitter) by the Karnataka BJP unit. BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi held a press conference in New Delhi, claiming this was not an isolated incident and that the Congress has a history of using such maps. He questioned the motives behind the omission of territory, insinuating a connection with foreign entities, specifically referencing U.S.-based billionaire George Soros.

Trivedi asserted that the BJP government is aware of such actions and that the people of India are vigilant against anti-national forces. He expressed confidence that these elements would not succeed in undermining India’s progress. The Congress party has yet to respond to the BJP’s allegations. The Congress Working Committee meeting is taking place in Belagavi today.
