**Mumbai, December 26, 2024** – Varun Dhawan’s Bollywood debut “Baby John,” a remake of the Tamil action film “Theri,” had a modest opening day, raking in ₹11.25 crore (India net) on Christmas Day. While falling short of recent blockbusters like “Mufasa: The Lion King” and “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” the film’s producers are celebrating it as the “biggest opener for a non-franchise film post-pandemic” and “the highest opening day among remakes” in the same period.
