**Nandyala, December 25, 2024** – The Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh will suspend its “Sparsha Darshan” (touch darshan) of Lord Mallikarjuna on January 1st, 2025, anticipating a large influx of devotees for the New Year’s holiday. Temple authorities announced that only “Alankara Darshan” will be available to manage the crowds and ensure quicker access for those in the general queue (“Sarva Darshan”).
Several other services, including “Arjita Garbhalaya Abhishekam,” “Arjita Samuhika Abhishekams,” “Udaya Asthamana Seva,” “Pratahkala Seva,” and “Pradoshakala Seva,” will also be temporarily unavailable. However, the temple will provide free drinking water and snacks to devotees waiting in line, with “Annaprasadam” (lunch) served from 10:30 a.m. and “laddu prasadam” available at designated counters. The decision aims to facilitate a smoother experience for the expected surge in visitors.
