**Hyderabad, December 25, 2024** – Light rain and drizzle are expected to continue across Telangana for the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The rainfall is attributed to weakening cyclonic activity in the Bay of Bengal, which is causing easterly winds and increased moisture levels in the region.
Warangal experienced the highest rainfall today, recording 10.5 mm, followed by Mulugu (7.3 mm), Rangareddy (5.5 mm), Jayashankar Bhupalpally (4.8 mm), Jangaon (4.5 mm), and Siddipet (4.3 mm), according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS).
The IMD predicts that minimum temperatures will rise by 2°C to 4°C above normal over the next three days. Hyderabad is expected to experience misty or hazy mornings with light rain or drizzle in some areas. Temperatures in the city are forecast to range from a minimum of 21°C to a maximum of 26°C. The IMD bulletin advises that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated locations across the state.
