**TALLAHASSEE, FL** – The Florida Lottery announced Thursday the shutdown of an unauthorized online courier service, “Lotter,” operating in conjunction with ZaZa Accessories, for illegally selling lottery tickets. The service acted as a middleman, facilitating ticket purchases outside of authorized channels.
Lottery Secretary John F. Davis emphasized the state’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the lottery and protecting players from potential scams. He warned unauthorized operators that such actions would not be tolerated.
Steven Harriett, Director of Security for the Florida Lottery, stated that the illegal operation not only violated state law but also undermined the fairness and trust of the lottery system. He highlighted the potential for fraud and misrepresentation associated with such third-party services.
