Wed Dec 25 07:25:14 UTC 2024: ## AAP Alleges BJP Conspiracy to Disrupt Delhi Polls with Arrests and False Cases

**New Delhi** – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal today accused the BJP of orchestrating a conspiracy to derail AAP’s Delhi Assembly election campaign through arrests and fabricated cases against senior party leaders. Kejriwal claimed that central agencies have been instructed to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and raid the homes of other top AAP officials, including himself.

The allegations followed the publication of notices by two Delhi government departments questioning the legality of AAP’s flagship Mahila Samman Yojana (women’s empowerment scheme) and Sanjeevani Yojana (healthcare scheme for the elderly). Kejriwal dismissed these notices as “lies” and part of a broader BJP strategy to undermine AAP’s popularity. He argued that the BJP, lacking a strong campaign, is resorting to intimidation tactics as it anticipates a significant defeat.

Kejriwal highlighted the BJP’s failure to deliver on its promises during its ten-year association with the Delhi government, criticizing its record on infrastructure and law and order. He contrasted this with AAP’s achievements, citing initiatives like free electricity, water, and bus rides for women.

Chief Minister Atishi echoed Kejriwal’s sentiments, calling the notices “wrong and lies” and threatening administrative and police action against the officials responsible. She also asserted that the Mahila Samman Yojana is a legitimate government initiative, showcasing supporting documentation. Atishi expressed confidence that the truth would prevail even if she faced arrest on false charges. Both Kejriwal and Atishi maintain the schemes are valid and will proceed as planned. The AAP has vowed to continue its positive campaign, focusing on its achievements and promises for the future.
