Wed Dec 25 15:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Bihar Braces for Temperature Rise, Followed by Western Disturbance and Cold Snap
**Patna, Bihar –** Bihar is currently experiencing warmer-than-expected temperatures due to Purvaiya winds and sunshine. The Patna Meteorological Centre forecasts a further temperature increase on December 26th and 27th. However, a significant change is expected on December 27th with the arrival of a strong western disturbance. This is predicted to bring rain to southwestern regions, followed by a drop in temperatures and a return to colder conditions.
According to Ashish Kumar, Director of the Meteorological Centre, a high-pressure area in the upper atmosphere is currently preventing the cooling of air. Tuesday’s highest temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius in Pupree, Sitamarhi, while the lowest was 6.8 degrees Celsius in Pusa. Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 23.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius.
