**Madurai, December 24, 2024** – Water levels in major Tamil Nadu dams remain stable, according to the latest reports. The Mullaperiyar dam recorded a level of 129.05 feet (maximum permissible 142 feet), with inflow exceeding outflow (536 cusecs inflow, 1,400 cusecs outflow). The Vaigai dam registered a level of 64.40 feet (full level 71 feet), with a near-equal inflow and outflow (1,527 cusecs inflow, 1,499 cusecs outflow). Combined storage in Periyar stood at 6,421.43 mcft. Light rainfall was recorded in some areas, with Andipatti receiving 1.6 mm and Viraganur 0.2 mm in the 24 hours ending Tuesday morning.
