**New Delhi, Dec 24, 2024** – The Indian National Congress has accused the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of hypocrisy, alleging that recent statements by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat are aimed at misleading the public. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh challenged the RSS to publicly declare it would not support any leader who exploits temple-mosque issues for political gain.

Bhagwat recently expressed concern over the resurgence of temple-mosque disputes, stating that some individuals are attempting to leverage such issues for political advancement. Ramesh countered this statement on X (formerly Twitter), asserting that the RSS’s actions contradict its words. He argued that the RSS actively supports individuals and groups who incite religious tensions, citing connections between the RSS, Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and BJP. Ramesh claimed the RSS provides these groups with comprehensive support, including legal representation.
