**Udaipur, Rajasthan –** India’s celebrated badminton player, PV Sindhu, has married Venkata Datta Sai in a private ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on December 22nd. The wedding, initially kept under wraps, was revealed after Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat shared a photograph of the couple online.

Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist (bronze in Rio 2016, silver in Tokyo 2020), explained her decision to marry after the recent Paris Olympics, stating that she sought “stability” to enhance her performance. “Marriage meant stability—the kind of stability that would help me perform better,” she said in a statement.
